White House Decries 'Democrat Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Photographs Released
Democratic lawmakers have released a fresh batch of what they termed "alarming" pictures from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—plus another 70 issued later on Friday account for a small number of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is examining the actions and ties of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking offenses.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Among the high-profile individuals shown in the opening set are celebrities such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are redacted.
White House Reaction
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "try and create a false narrative."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," an administration official said, insisting that "the Trump administration has accomplished more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by repeatedly calling for openness, disclosing thousands of pages of documents, and urging more inquiries into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were released lacking captions, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"It is time to halt this White House cover-up and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he stated in a release.
The disclosure of these documents comes as the oversight committee continuing its probe into the affair.
