Which players Made Troy's English Top-Flight Weekly Best XI?
After each round of top-tier English fixtures this season, sports analyst Troy Deeney presents his personal Team and Manager of the Week.
Below are the latest selections. What are your thoughts? Let us know via the comments section at the bottom of the page.
Between the Sticks
Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham): Even though ending up on the defeated team versus Chelsea, his teammates left him exposed. He was up against 18 attempts, nine directed at goal, and an xG of over three for the visitors but he kept them in it. He stood firm on his team.
Defenders
Nico O'Reilly (City): This youngster is frightening. Usually a central midfielder, he adapts brilliantly at full-back. His display in the win against Bournemouth was impressive, establishing him as a future star.
Gabriel (Arsenal): A constant menace, he contributed to another clean sheet for his club. He is a nuisance from set-pieces, just being there was decisive in the triumph at Turf Moor. Rival teams are intimidated by him.
Jean-Clair Todibo (West Ham): Selected for two reasons: his team's victory and his composed, confident display. Although Newcastle underperformed, he stood out on the ball and calmed things down. After some shaky weeks, he appears to have grown under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham): He ignited the team in the victory over Wolverhampton. Outstanding in attack and consistent all season, he's found the net recently. Great to see him fit and performing.
Midfielders
Moises Caicedo (the Blues): The sole engine everyone agrees on. Crucial for Chelsea, he stood as the top tackler. Like the Duracell Bunny, he pushes everyone forward. Arguably the best holding midfielder in world football.
Declan Rice (the Gunners): Another pivotal performance versus the Clarets. An absolute beast, he scored and excels from set-pieces. As they face lesser teams, he regains stamina and executes more attacking runs. Important to see him let loose.
Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool): He pushed forward, scoring versus a struggling Aston Villa side. His ability to control the game on and off the ball, plus his awareness and tackling, rendered him key to the victory.
Attack
Diego Gomez (Brighton): He scored two goals against United, but his style was graceful dribbling by opponents. Moving quickly and strongly, he edged out teammate Danny Welbeck on the day.
Erling Haaland (City): What more is there to say about this phenomenon? Every time he got through, a goal seemed certain. He never looked to be off target. The King is back. Despite summer talk about other strikers, Haaland reigns supreme. He could shatter goal tallies this year.
Rayan Cherki (Manchester City): Playing high on the right suits him best. Remarkably ambidextrous, a rarity since Santi Cazorla. He takes set-pieces equally well. A gifted player, he appears fit post-recovery. His connection with Haaland is clearly why he was signed.
Manager
Nuno Espirito Santo (the Hammers): Haven't seen it, just watch the way he celebrated the third goal versus the Magpies. That shows what it means to him and the team. He knows they face challenges, yet they need to persevere and cross the line.
