Unbowed Celtic's manager insists he is not worried about the sack but the Parkhead faithful display wrath following derby defeat.
Wilfried Nancy stated he did not fear losing his job, claiming, “We are very near to things turning around,” even after moving dangerously close to the exit with a heavy setback against Rangers.
A Second-Half Meltdown Leads to Old Firm Defeat
The Hoops were in front Rangers at the interval but a second-half capitulation enabled Rangers to pull level on points with the reigning Scottish Premiership champions. The French coach, who was hired in December, has now presided over six setbacks in his first eight fixtures.
“The board and I are united at the club,” said the manager.
Questioned about his own future, Nancy responded: “That’s not my focus. I concentrate on discovering solutions to aid my players to excel on the fine details.
Protest Erupts

The coach remains focused on the fact his team can perform strongly for 45 minutes at a time. Indeed, were it not for wastefulness in front of goal they might have been greater than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit except the fact that we haven’t scored more goals,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but it's important to stay balanced.
“The standard we had at stages was of top quality. That happened. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was not the case. That is the reason, when it comes to wins, I noted this is the same story. For that reason I believe we are nearly there to things turning around. Right now: details, details, details.”
“We produced many, many good things that we did, like today again. However is consistency. My message would change if it was not the case. This is why I firmly believe the team can to turn things around.”
Röhl’s Cautious Stance
Danny Röhl refused to contemplate a title charge in spite of what felt like a landmark win. “One match at a time, and we can really build up something here,” he said. “The faith in the squad is excellent.”
