Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize
Announced recently
England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
