The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, the mind behind the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, according to.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
