I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
