Cricket players Head and Duckett in play

The two batters have been on rival teams in the recent Ashes campaigns.

Aussie opener Travis Head has revealed that he reached out to England counterpart Ben Duckett following a social media clip emerged appearing to show the player in a drunken state prior to the MCG Test.

Reports suggested that members of the squad were consuming significant amounts of alcohol during a respite in the coastal resort of Noosa in the gap between the second and the third Tests.

One unconfirmed video resulted in greater scrutiny on the squad and on Duckett in particular.

"I have a good relationship with Ducky well reached out to see if he was going alright," said Head.

"We are all still people. What you do in your private life is your own business.

"I understand we live a very public life and certain individuals are more visible than others.

"Ultimately, it is a rather harsh but I don't think there is any genuine problem."

Background of the Event

The team's four nights in Noosa came after they had gone 2-0 down in the Ashes series following losses in the first two Tests.

Multiple news organizations reported that some players were drinking for a significant portion of their time on the coastal break, as well as on two previous days in Brisbane.

Although they produced an better showing in the following Test, they were defeated in Adelaide to concede the series to Australia.

The Australian's Perspective

Speaking following the visiting team's win in the Melbourne Test, Head remarked: "I felt envious.

"People has blown it out of proportion than was necessary.

"Our teams have done the very same on earlier trips. I don't have an issue with it."
